A full range of oral health care is provided at the Center, including:
- restorations (tooth fillings)
- crowns
- full and partial dentures
- oral surgery
- periodontics
- endodontics
- pedodontics and preventive care (teeth cleanings).
Their patient population is diverse and includes immigrant special needs, all age groups, HIV/AIDS patients, and people with dental anxiety.
Patients with dental emergencies can usually be treated within 24 hours.
They accept most private insurance plans and MaineCare, and a sliding fee scale is available for patients who meet the financial eligibility requirements.
Care Credit is also provided to eligible patients as a payment option and they accept all major credit cards for payments.
The Portland Center partners with the City of Portland School Oral Health Program and Headstart to provide restorative dental services and a dental home to students identified as needing dental services.
They provide care for patients living in local group homes and participate in the Cumberland County Denture Project.
They also receive funding from the United Way of Greater Portland to provide patient assistance fund.
